About Me
My name is Macayla.

I've always had a love of art forms but was never able to decide what ones I liked best over the others. After years of trying to just pick one thing, I gave up on choosing. I started off drawing like most kids with their crayons and then it started to move on to painting. I used to paint rocks to decorate my grandmother's garden. When we ran out of rocks, she would have me paint signs and figurines instead. As I got older, I started to paint on sketch paper and canvases.
Over time, however, I started to get stuck on what to paint so I started trying out other art forms and so I started to sew. The first thing I ever sewed wasn't the prettiest thing, but it was a dress for my favorite stuffed animal. That was when my love of making Doll Clothes began. I like to recycle the fabric I already have instead of wasting money so if I have a doll that needs a new pair of pants or a t-shirt, I go through my collection of stained or ripped clothes and I use the scraps to make wardrobes for dolls.

When I wasn't sewing or painting, I was often in the kitchen helping my grandparents or my mother. I'd make pies at age 7 when most other kids were watching cartoons. Around this time, I also started to do some woodworking. I'd use the scraps from my grandfather's workshop to make furniture for my stuffed animals. This turned into a love of working with wood and so I started to create wooden projects and taking a huge interest in anything wood.

I hope whoever comes to this website enjoys what I have to offer. Though it may not be much, I love what I manage to do and this website will be updated as I either create more projects or find my previous ones that I was never able to get photos of in the past.
